As a Planning Engineer for Key Account Management, your primary responsibility is to support the key account management team in developing and executing strategic plans to maximize business opportunities with key accounts. You will be responsible for analyzing data, coordinating activities, and ensuring effective planning and execution to meet the needs of key accounts while achieving business objectives. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting market research, and providing insights and recommendations to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Strategic Account Plans: Collaborate with the key account management team to develop comprehensive strategic plans for key accounts. Identify business opportunities, set clear objectives, and define actionable steps to achieve goals.
Conduct Market Research: Gather and analyze market data, industry trends, and competitor information to identify potential growth areas and opportunities within key accounts. Stay updated on market dynamics and customer preferences to drive effective planning and decision-making.
Coordinate Planning Activities: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment and coordination in planning activities. Facilitate communication and collaboration to drive effective execution of account plans.
Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to analyze account performance, sales trends, and customer behavior. Derive insights and recommendations to optimize strategies, enhance customer satisfaction, and maximize revenue growth.
Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with key account stakeholders, including senior executives, decision-makers, and influencers. Understand their business needs, challenges, and goals to provide tailored solutions and drive customer loyalty.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the effectiveness of account plans. Track and report on progress, identify gaps, and propose corrective actions as needed. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improvement in key account planning processes, tools, and methodologies. Collaborate with internal teams to implement enhancements and best practices to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in key account management, strategic planning, or business development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at various levels.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, CRM software, and business intelligence platforms.
Knowledge of the industry and market dynamics related to the key accounts you will be managing.
