Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices, especially in the context of the Oil and Gas industry.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Excellent analytical skills to accurately estimate project costs and identify potential risks.
• Familiarity with relevant software tools for estimation, such as AutoCAD, MS Excel, TEKLA, PDMS, CEASERS II, Compress and specialized estimation software.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders including engineers, project managers, and clients.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively present and explain estimation results to internal teams and clients.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality and accurate estimates within specified deadlines.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices in estimation and project management.
Education Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Additional certifications or training in estimation techniques, project management, or relevant software tools are advantageous.
Experience:
• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on estimation, preferably, Heavy Engineering Shops in the Oil and Gas industry of KSA.
• Proven track record of successfully completing estimation projects and delivering accurate cost estimates for engineering projects.
• Experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, procurement specialists, and project managers.
