1- Conduct safety related threats or vulnerability analyses to determine probable frequency, criticality, consequence, or severity of safety related incidents , identify appropriate response plans and control systems, technical design or process changes to eliminate, reduce or control the risk.
2- Develop and implement safety programssystems in compliance with health or safety standards and regulations to prevent and correct unsafe safety working conditions and evaluate the effectiveness of various applied control mechanisms and procedures.
3- Examine plans and specifications for newold machine, equipment to determine that all safety precautions have been included and ensure that they meet specifications, standards and compliance requirements.
4- Determines requirements for safety clothing, PPE, safety devices, and designs, builds, and installs, or directs installation of safety devices on machinery.
5- Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure that safety procedures and standards are followed.
6- Recommend effective systems, technical design, and process or procedures changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance.
7- Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures.
8- Perform contractors EHS evaluation for projects and maintenance job.
9- Assist in safety awareness, orientation and training programs to help prevent dangerous incidents.
10- Identify corrective actions needed to bring properties into compliance with applicable environmental and safety codes and ordinances and conduct follow-up inspections to see if corrective actions have been taken.
11- Reports and record all observations, analysis of contaminant, recommendations of controlcorrections of hazards.
Academic and professional qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline such as electrical, chemical, mechanical, industrial, or systems engineering
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in similar position or health related positions in environmental, health or safety petrochemical or manufacturing sector.
