SABQ Energy Contracting Group is urgently seeking a certified Safety Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all safety protocols are in place and adhered to throughout our projects. The Safety Engineer will work closely with project teams to mitigate risks, promote safe work practices, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures on-site.
2. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
3. Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
4. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety standards.
5. Investigate accidents or incidents and provide detailed reports.
6. Conduct safety training and awareness programs for staff.
7. Collaborate with project managers to ensure a safe working environment.
8. Maintain accurate safety documentation and records.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Must be certified in occupational safety (NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent).
Proven experience as a Safety Engineer in construction or energy projects.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
