Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
System Administration:
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux) on physical and virtual servers.
Manage and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other essential Windows Server services.
Monitor and optimize server performance to ensure high availability.
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions, such as Veeam or similar tools.
Ensure timely software and security updates for servers and applications.
Network Administration:
Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs (e.g., Cisco, FortiGate, Juniper).
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
Implement network security policies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption.
Manage and optimize wireless networks and LAN/WAN infrastructures.
Security & Compliance:
Ensure the security of systems and networks by applying security best practices and enforcing policies.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
Work with security teams to implement patches and updates to prevent threats.
Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues to internal users.
Respond to incidents and resolve issues within established SLAs.
Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, networks, and procedures.
Train users on system best practices and IT policies.
Collaboration & Project Management:
Collaborate with various teams to ensure IT systems align with business goals.
Participate in the planning and implementation of IT projects, including network upgrades, server migrations, and new system integrations.
Manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and network equipment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of [X] years of experience in IT system and network administration.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) and Linux administration.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, firewalls).
Experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and security best practices.
Proficiency in backup and disaster recovery planning and execution.
Preferred Certifications:
CompTIA Network+
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Professional (CCNP)
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
