Job description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Civil Engineer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all civil engineering projects meet the established quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Control: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control plans and procedures tailored to specific project requirements and industry standards.

Inspections & Testing: Conduct regular inspections and tests of materials and workmanship throughout the construction process to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including inspection reports, quality control reports, and non-conformance reports, while ensuring accurate record-keeping of all quality-related activities.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address quality-related issues, provide expert advice, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Training & Development: Provide guidance and training to site personnel and junior engineers on quality control processes, procedures, and best practices, fostering a culture of quality awareness on-site.

Monitoring & Evaluation: Monitor the quality performance of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to project quality standards and identifying areas for improvement.

Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with local and international quality standards, as well as relevant health and safety regulations.

Continuous Improvement: Analyze quality data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the development of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing overall project quality.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

5 years of experience (KSA) in quality control within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices. ARAMCO and SABIC experience candidate preferable

Familiarity with relevant quality control standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, ASTM).

Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Proficient in MS Office and experience with quality control software.
