***Job Description***

An Sr Energy Auditor is a professional responsible for assessing the energy efficiency of buildings, industrial facilities, or other structures. Their primary goal is to identify areas of energy wastage, reduce energy consumption, and lower utility costs. Ensure support and collaboration with operations teams. Monitoring and follow-up of functional report (Engineers & technicians ). Sr Energy auditors play a crucial role in promoting environmental sustainability by reducing carbon emissions and encouraging energy-efficient practices.

***Duties and Responsibilities***

1). Major functional Areas: Able to work independently and think both tactically and strategically, manage subcontractors and deal with suppliers during their site visits for providing technical support. As an senior energy auditor you need to have technical and practical knowledge on instruments used for energy audits, energy management and relevant international energy efficiency standards.

2). Conducting Energy Audits: Sr Energy auditors assess residential, commercial, or industrial buildings to evaluate their energy efficiency. They conduct thorough inspections, analyzing factors such as insulation, HVAC systems, lighting, appliances, and building structure.

3).Data Collection and Analysis: Sr Energy auditors collect data on energy consumption patterns, utility bills, and occupancy habits. Should be able to handle portable measurements for measuring energy parameters. They analyze this data to identify trends and patterns, helping them understand the building’s energy usage behavior and Creating an Energy Baseline. Through this analysis, auditors pinpoint inefficiencies and areas where energy-saving measures can be implemented.

4). Recommending Energy Efficiency Measures: Based on their assessments and analyses, energy auditors provide detailed recommendations for energy efficiency improvements. These suggestions can range from simple, low-cost changes (like sealing drafts or installing energy-efficient lighting) to more complex solutions (such as upgrading HVAC systems or recommending renewable energy sources like solar panels) After which they calculate and quantify the energy savings based on a savings rationale.

5). Creating Energy Audit Reports: Sr Energy auditors compile their findings and recommendations into comprehensive reports. These reports outline the current energy usage, areas of improvement, suggested energy-saving measures, and the potential cost savings associated with implementing these measures.

***Qualifications and Skills***

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field Mechanical Engineer is preferred.

• 10-12 Years Experience in conducting ASHRAE level 1, 2 and 3 Energy Audits.

• Should have a good understanding of HVAC Design & Operation, BMS controls, Lighting etc.

• Certification as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and/or CMVP similar credentials is advantageous.

• Working with ESCO experience and GCC is preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Knowledge of energy-efficient technologies, building codes, and environmental regulations.

• Excellent communication skills to convey findings and recommendations to clients.
