We are seeking an experienced Lead Safety Engineer to join our team on a short-term contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the safety engineering efforts on a specific project, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the safety engineering team to ensure project deliverables are met.
2. Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific safety plans, procedures, and protocols.
3. Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments to identify potential safety risks.
4. Design and implement safety measures to mitigate identified risks.
5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and maintenance.
7. Provide safety training and guidance to project team members.
8. Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
9. Face the client for Safety Audit.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in engineering or related field.
2. Professional certification in safety engineering.
3. Experience with safety management systems and software.
Minimum 10 years of experience in safety engineering.
