Job Purpose:
The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, ensuring that construction activities are executed efficiently and completed on time. This role requires close coordination with project managers, engineers, and site teams to track progress, identify delays, and propose solutions to maintain project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
Monitor project progress and update schedules based on actual site performance.
Identify critical paths, key milestones, and potential schedule risks.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment on timelines and deliverables.
Analyze delays and provide recovery plans to mitigate impact on project delivery.
Assist in the preparation of extension of time (EOT) claims and related documentation.
Evaluate subcontractor schedules and ensure they are aligned with the master program.
Support project control functions including cost forecasting and resource loading.
Attend site meetings and provide updates on planning-related matters.
