A procurement engineer is responsible for acquiring materials and services needed for projects. These professionals work closely with the engineering Dep and reporting to supply chain dep to analyze technical requirements, identify suitable suppliers, and negotiate contracts.
Responsibilities:
? Reviewing MR - Material Requestion
? Float RFQs ( Request for Quote) to Approved Vendors
? Following up Tech/Commercial Offer & TQs Closure
Post-Order Responsibilities: -
? Arranging KOM ( Kick of Meeting).
? Following up Eng. documents till Closure, Stage
? Supporting Project team in Weekly/Monthly Review meetings
? Variation Order placements, Inspection arrangements, Logistics coordination, Ensuring MRR processing, expediting on all fronts to seek Material delivery in line with Project Schedule.
? Conducting spend analysis and consolidating the site requirements for shortage or missing materials and placement of POs or VOs to OEMs.
? Placing service orders for the onsite assistance required by site team
? Self-motivated, flexible and can work under pressure on their own initiative and lead a Procurement Team.
? Defining and maintaining documented category and supplier strategies using market and competitive data
? Performing regular performance review with suppliers to drive continuous improvements
? Ensuring commercial, legal and contractual compliance in all the Procurement transactions.
