Diploma in Occupational Health and safety/Civil or equivalent, Bachelor is a plus.
Certificate NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA.
Minimum years of Experience is 1-3 years should be in gulf country.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively inspect and coordinate all safety operations to ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with Health and Safety site specifications.
Maintain Health and Safety regulations assist with conducting of high-quality Risk Assessments / Job Safety Analysis and assist with Technical reports and develop Safe Systems of Work.
Enforce regular TBT’s and conduct daily H&S inspections as per schedules and planed arrangements. Record and report hazards, accidents, injuries and health issues in the workplace for Violations and conduct investigations of incidents, accidents, and near misses.
Providing the Project/Site Manager with daily reports about the performance of the Health and Safety on site Program to ensure continues improvement as well as suitable corrective actions for violations and breach of H&S rules, regulations and requirements, attends regular Health and Safety meetings.
Inspect workplaces and workplace equipment, such as scaffolding, permit to work, working at height and Confined space entry to ensure they meet safety regulations and to identify hazards and risks.
Ensure personal protective equipment (such as hearing protection, dust masks, safety glasses, and footwear and safety helmets), is being used in workplaces at all times according to regulations.
Ensure dangerous materials are correctly stored, identify and test work areas for potential accident and health hazards, such as toxic fumes and explosive gas-air mixtures, and implement appropriate control measures. Generate HSEQ inspection reports and respond to Violations and CAR’s.
Assist with the rehabilitation of workers after accidents or injuries and make sure they experience a satisfactory return to work, coordinate emergency procedures, rescues, and firefighting and first aid crews.
Ensure that all Health and Safety standard operating procedures, SOP’s are followed, and safe working conditions are maintained at all work stations.
Conduct Health and Safety Induction and on-going Training for all employees in the understanding of Health and Safety system and principles as per site requirements.
Assist with the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions.
