QA & QC Engineer/Officer – Construction Sector

Job Objective:
To ensure that all construction activities and phases are executed in compliance with the approved specifications, drawings, and quality standards. The role involves implementing and maintaining the Quality Assurance and Quality Control system to meet client requirements and align with international standards such as ISO 9001.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans and procedures.
Review technical specifications, drawings, and related documentation to ensure quality requirements are met.
Supervise material testing, concrete inspections, and other on-site or lab-based quality checks.
Perform daily inspections and quality checks on construction activities.
Monitor and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate with technical teams, contractors, and consultants to enforce quality measures.
Liaise with third-party labs and verify testing results.
Prepare and maintain quality reports and submit periodic updates to management.
Participate in internal quality meetings and audits.
Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and site staff on quality procedures and standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in QA/QC within the construction sector.
Strong knowledge of technical standards and international codes (ASTM, ACI, ISO, etc.).
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC-related software/tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
Ability to produce accurate and comprehensive reports.
Certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, PMP, or similar are an advantage.
Reporting & Coordination:
Reports to: QA/QC Manager or Project Manager
Coordinates with: Site Engineers, Contractors, Consultants, and Testing Laboratories
