The Project Engineer in a Fit-Out company is responsible for supporting the successful execution of interior fit-out projects from planning through to handover. This role involves coordinating with design, procurement, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure timely, quality, and cost-effective project delivery while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
Assist the Project Manager in planning and scheduling project activities.
Coordinate between consultants, subcontractors, site team, and suppliers.
Ensure all technical aspects of the project are implemented as per design and specifications.
Site Execution:
Supervise daily site operations and ensure work is progressing as per the program.
Verify that installation and finishing works meet quality standards.
Monitor site safety and compliance with HSE regulations.
Technical Support:
Review and interpret shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
Provide technical assistance to site teams and resolve on-site engineering issues.
Liaise with consultants/clients for inspections and approvals.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Update as-built drawings and ensure proper documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Track material delivery and usage on-site.
Procurement & Material Management:
Coordinate with procurement for timely delivery of materials.
Validate materials delivered on-site match approved specifications.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
Conduct site inspections and raise quality issues as needed.
