We are seeking a qualified and proactive Site Engineer with a strong background in both communication systems and electrical engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and communication systems at project sites, ensuring that all work complies with technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate site activities related to electrical and communication systems.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project plans.
Oversee installation of power distribution, lighting, grounding, cable routing, and communication infrastructure (fiber optics, structured cabling, wireless systems, etc.).
Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements.
Liaise with contractors, vendors, and other engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards at all times.
Prepare daily/weekly site reports and update project progress to the engineering or project manager.
Participate in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of systems.
Assist in material estimation, procurement requests, and inventory control.
Coordinate with client representatives for inspections and approvals.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of site experience in electrical and communication system installation.
Strong understanding of electrical codes, wiring regulations, and communication standards.
Familiar with testing instruments, tools, and software used in site engineering.
Good knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and project documentation.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in diverse site conditions.
Safety-conscious with knowledge of relevant health and safety practices.
