Planning Engineer – Planning Engineer
### **Job grade:**
Intermediate to First (Senior-Level)
### **General objective of the job:**
Plan, track, and analyze project activities using advanced tools and software to ensure the project runs within the specified timeframe and budget, and provide periodic reports to senior management to assist in decision-making.
### **Tasks and responsibilities:**
1. Prepare **detailed timeline** for the project using **Primavera P6**, taking into account sequence of activities, logical relationships, and resources.
2. Update the schedule periodically and perform **deviation analysis** (Variance Analysis) between the chart and the actual implementer.
3. Coordinate with different departments (engineering, procurement, implementation) to ensure schedule integration with all project components.
4. Prepare **weekly and monthly reports** that include project status, actual completion, progress rate, challenges, and potential risks.
5. Develop **correction plans** in case of delays, and recommend necessary actions.
6. Follow up **Time Claims (EOT Claims)** and analyze the impact of changes on the schedule.
7. Use of **Critical Path Analysis (Critical Path Method - CPM)** and **Future Forecasting (Forecasting)** techniques.
8. Prepare **Reference Schedule Report (Baseline Schedule)** and have it approved by the client or consultant.
9. Participate in **site meetings** and coordination meetings and provide technical recommendations to management.
10. Commitment to data quality and verification of the accuracy of its entry into the time system.
