Job title: Maintenance Mechanical Engineer

Qualification:

1. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10 Years of Work Experience in Mechanical

Engineering Field.

2. Good understanding of maintenance and turnaround work process.

Responsibility

Responsible for Maintenance Engineering work related to all mechanical equipment. This role is

spread across an envelope or site vs. a “Maintenance Engineer,” who is normally tied to a plant.

1. Serve as a subject-matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root-cause

investigations.

2. Provide engineering support to plant issues impacting production over a short period of time.

3. Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluate

equipment’s durability and conditions.

4. Ensure that requests for equipment critical to work process include engineering input on repair

details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc., and

if necessary provide onsite/offsite technical support for deviations from this data.

5. Ensure that repairs, repair techniques, equipment specific training, are documented and

accessible.

6. Support the PPM coordinator as required in reviewing spare parts’ list for existing equipment.

7. Develop maintenance’s operating discipline and provide maintainability input to projects.

8. Enter QSPP information into the reporting system.

9. Participate in developing the maintenance budget to support the maintenance strategy.

10.As required, provide engineering input to work packages to ensure standards are followed.

11. Provide input on development of work orders, particularly on critical equipment that requires

engineering review.

12.Comply with EH&S guidelines and overall safety processes.

13. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor / manager.

Sadara

This role is having responsibility of resolving day to day technical issues in addition to develop long

term strategies considering cost, reliability of plant equipment availability.

Decisions of this role has impact as below:

? Timely maintenance response to resolve plant technical issues.

? Maintenance cost optimization (Ex: PPM and Spares review, budget)

? Evaluating technical proposal for material and services

? Repair plans and procedures

? Quality assurance of critical jobs

This is specialized discipline role with specialized level of technical expertise acquired thru education

and on-the-job training. Provides technical guidance and direction in his/her area of specialization.

Lead the major maintenance repairs, investigations and applies best practices and knowledge of

internal or external business issues to improve maintenance services within area of specialization.

This job has high expectation of suggesting improvements and deliver long term financial viability

of the whole Sadara enterprise.
