We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer with a mechanical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety protocols and industry regulations, particularly within mechanical and construction environments. This position is critical in ensuring safe working conditions at our project sites and fostering a culture of health and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and enforce compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and company policies.
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments, especially on mechanical equipment and operations.
• Prepare safety reports and documentation, including incident/accident investigations and corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs to site personnel.
• Collaborate with the site management team to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Ensure all mechanical work activities are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant safety codes and standards.
• Assist in the development and continuous improvement of the company’s HSE management system.
Requirements:
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in construction or industrial projects involving mechanical work.
• Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to site conditions.
