Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards.
• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Monitor workplace activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide safety training to employees and contractors, including emergency preparedness, hazard communication, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain records of safety-related incidents, audits, inspections, and training.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to design safer systems, equipment, and processes.
• Ensure the proper installation and functioning of safety devices and systems.
• Prepare reports for management detailing safety performance, findings, and improvement plans.
• Stay updated with changes in safety regulations, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
• Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), NEBOSH, OSHA certification) are preferred.
• Proven experience (typically 3–5 years) in a safety-related role.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and standards.
