A German Based Swecko company seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the construction of Red Sea project .
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical aspects of construction projects, ensuring all work complies with relevant standards, codes, and project specifications.
The role involves close coordination with project teams, contractors, and consultants to monitor mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and piping installations from a quality assurance perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections and testing of mechanical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO, etc.)
Review and approve mechanical material submittals, method statements, and ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans)
Monitor and report on quality issues during construction, identify non-conformities, and ensure corrective actions are implemented
Maintain quality documentation, including inspection records, test results, NCRs, and QA/QC logs
Collaborate with the project team to resolve technical issues related to mechanical systems
Coordinate with third-party testing agencies and participate in site audits
Assist in developing and implementing project-specific QA/QC plans for mechanical works
Support the commissioning and handover process of mechanical systems
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical quality control within the construction industry
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in building or infrastructure projects
Familiarity with local and international quality standards and codes
Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and documentation skills
