The MEP Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, preventive maintenance, and timely repair of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. This role is critical to maintaining uninterrupted services, compliance with healthcare standards, and ensuring patient, staff, and visitor safety.

Key Responsibilities
1. Mechanical Systems
• Perform regular maintenance of HVAC systems to ensure proper temperature control, air quality, and infection control compliance.
• Oversee safety checks and leak detection.
• Maintain and service pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
2. Electrical Systems
• Monitor and maintain power distribution systems, switchgear, and panels.
• Ensure uninterrupted power supply by maintaining generators, UPS, and backup systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on lighting, alarm, and communication systems.
• Respond promptly to any electrical faults to minimize downtime.
3. Plumbing Systems
• Inspect and maintain plumbing, drainage, and water supply systems.
• Ensure proper water filtration, storage, and waste disposal systems are functioning.
• Resolve leaks, blockages, or pressure issues quickly to maintain hygiene standards.
4. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all MEP systems.
• Maintain accurate service logs, inspection records, and equipment history.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns with minimal disruption to operations.
5. Compliance & Safety
• Ensure all work complies with local regulations, healthcare standards, and safety codes.
• Support inspections and audits by MOH or regulatory bodies.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of tools, equipment, and chemicals.
6. Coordination & Reporting
• Coordinate with facility management, housekeeping, and external vendors for integrated facility operations.
• Provide periodic reports on maintenance activities, issues resolved, and future requirements.
• Assist in budgeting for spare parts, tools, and major repairs/replacements.

Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in MEP maintenance, preferably in healthcare or critical facilities.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia is mandatory.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing and updating MEP drawings is required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, power systems, and plumbing infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Hands-on problem-solving skills and ability to respond to emergencies under pressure.
• Familiarity with healthcare facility compliance standards is an advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Willingness to work on shifts or be on-call for emergency support.
• Physically fit to perform site inspections and hands-on repairs when needed.
• Must have a valid Driving License.
