Position Title: Structural Engineer
Location: Project Site – SWEC Shuaibah
Reports To: Project Manager / Engineering Manager
Role Overview
The Structural Engineer will be responsible for conducting intrusive structural investigations, preparing demolition methodologies, ensuring structural stability during works, and providing detailed engineering support for all structural activities on-site. This role is critical to maintaining safety, compliance, and technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct intrusive structural investigations and prepare detailed reports.
• Develop method statements and demolition sequences in compliance with project safety and engineering requirements.
• Provide calculations and stability analysis to demonstrate structural adequacy during all phases of demolition and construction.
• Ensure proper temporary support systems are designed and implemented to maintain safety and stability.
• Evaluate and describe the structural impact of proposed works, including sequencing and risk mitigation.
• Review, validate, and approve technical drawings, models, and Demolition methodologies.
• Collaborate with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure adherence to engineering standards and project specifications.
• Provide on-site supervision and technical guidance during structural and demolition activities.
• Ensure all works comply with local regulations, safety codes, and international engineering standards.
• Support preparation of project documentation, including reports, calculations, and compliance certifications.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Graduation preferred).
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in structural engineering, with strong exposure to demolition, retrofitting, and construction projects.
• Proven experience in preparing structural calculations, method statements, and demolition sequences.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, BS).
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS,
SAP2000, AutoCAD).
• Familiarity with safety protocols and risk assessments in construction/demolition environments.
• Membership in a Saudi Council of Engineering is must.
