looking for Mechanical Project Engineer (EPC)
The Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all mechanical engineering and construction activities under Saudi Aramco LSTK, LSPB, EPC, and construction contracts. The role requires strong technical expertise in mechanical installations, equipment erection, piping systems, valves, structural fabrication, welding, surface preparation, and coating works, with a deep understanding of Saudi Aramco technical, quality, and safety standards. The engineer must demonstrate strong project management capability, leadership, and professionalism in representing AlMeer before Saudi Aramco and other project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
? Plan, coordinate, and supervise mechanical construction and installation activities in accordance with project specifications, Aramco standards, and approved drawings.
? Review and interpret engineering documents, IFC drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and technical specifications to ensure accurate execution.
? Lead and manage teams handling mechanical installations, piping and valve assemblies, structural fabrication and erection, welding, hydrotesting, and coating works.
? Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco standards (SAES, SAMSS, SAEP, and GIs) in all project phases.
? Prepare and review construction method statements, ITPs, job safety analyses (JSAs), and work execution plans.
? Coordinate with engineering, procurement, quality, and construction teams to ensure smooth project execution and material readiness.
? Supervise and ensure quality control of fabrication, welding, surface preparation, painting, and coating activities.
? Conduct site inspections, punch list clearances, and pre-commissioning activities in line with project requirements.
? Liaise with Saudi Aramco engineers, consultants, and inspectors to ensure compliance and timely approvals.
? Monitor and report on project progress, productivity, and material utilization; ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
? Provide technical support and resolve site issues related to mechanical works and interface with other disciplines (civil, electrical, instrumentation).
? Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures, ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco’s Loss Prevention and Safety Management Systems.
? Represent in client and project coordination meetings, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and technical competency.
? Contribute to project close-out activities, including as-built documentation, test records, and handover packages.
Qualifications & Experience:
? Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
? Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, construction, or project execution within Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries.
? Minimum 5 years of experience working on Saudi Aramco projects (LSTK, LSPB, EPC, or Construction).
? Proven expertise in mechanical installations, piping, valves, equipment erection, fabrication, and welding activities.
? Strong familiarity with Saudi Aramco technical, quality, and safety standards.
? Capable of leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with multiple project interfaces.
? Proficient in project management, scheduling, material control, and technical documentation.
? Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving ability in a fast-paced construction environment.
Preferred Certifications (Added Advantage):
? Saudi Aramco Work Permit Receiver (WPR) certification
? API / ASME / AWS certifications related to fabrication or welding inspection
? Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent)
? NEBOSH / OSHA / HSE Certification
? Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) Membership/Registration
