Mechanical engineers in construction design, install, and maintain vital building systems—specifically HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection—while ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. They oversee on-site mechanical work, coordinate with other trades, manage resource procurement, and troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure, that systems are installed and functioning according to approved plans.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Design & Planning: Designing HVAC, plumbing, piping, and fire suppression systems, creating technical drawings, and performing load calculations.
• Site Management & Supervision: Overseeing the installation of mechanical systems, checking for quality, and ensuring work meets industry standards and safety regulations.
• Coordination: Collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and electrical teams to integrate mechanical systems into the overall construction project.
• Procurement & Resource Management: Estimating costs, preparing materials, selecting equipment, and managing the procurement process.
• Testing & Commissioning: Testing systems (e.g., HVAC, fire protection) to ensure proper operation, and fixing any faults or design issues.
• Documentation: Reviewing submittals, creating as-built drawings, and preparing daily reports on progress.
• Mechanical engineers are essential in construction for ensuring the efficiency and safety of mechanical infrastructure.
• Problem Solving: trouble shouting and resolving technical issues with mechanical system manual
• Collaboration with cross functional team: working with other engineer technician and stick holder to design and implement mechanical systems
• Developing and implementing maintenance plans: Creating and Schedule and procedures for maintaining mechanical systems and equipment
• Analyzing data and performance Metrics: Using data analysis and simulation tools to optimize mechanical system performance
• Oversee the work involved in installing these systems.
• Perform inspections of the installation.
• Analyze problems relating to these mechanical systems.
Qualification
- Filipino Nationality -prepared
-3 to 5 years Experience in Mechanical Engineer position
- transferable Iqama and can join immediately
-Saudi Driving lisence is required
