Structural Design Engineer (Reinforced Concrete & Steel)

???? Job Purpose:

To design and analyze structural systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and municipal regulations, while supporting engineering supervision activities.

???? Key Responsibilities:

???? Structural Design & Analysis:

Design structural elements including reinforced concrete and steel structures.

Perform structural analysis for buildings and engineering systems.

Prepare detailed structural drawings (foundations, columns, slabs, beams, retaining walls).

Develop reinforcement detailing and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).

Review and ensure compliance of structural designs with applicable codes.

Coordinate structural designs with architectural and MEP disciplines.

Review structural shop drawings and construction documents.

Provide technical solutions for site-related structural issues.

Prepare structural reports, calculations, and design documentation.

????? Engineering Supervision & Site Support:

Perform engineering supervision for structural works at project sites.

Ensure construction works comply with approved structural drawings and specifications.

Conduct site inspections and verify quality of executed structural works.

Support construction and supervision teams during project execution.

Address technical issues and provide on-site engineering solutions.

Monitor compliance with safety and quality standards during construction.

????? Municipality & Reporting (Riyadh Municipality):

Prepare and submit engineering reports required by Riyadh Municipality (Amanah Riyadh).

Support documentation and reporting for building permits and approvals.

Ensure compliance with municipal regulations and Saudi Building Code requirements.

Prepare technical submissions and reports for regulatory authorities.

Coordinate with consultants and authorities for structural approvals and clarifications.

???? Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering focus).

5–8 years of experience in structural design within consultancy firms.

Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, and AutoCAD.

Strong knowledge of ACI Code and Saudi Building Code.

Experience in reinforced concrete and steel structure projects.

Experience in engineering supervision and site inspection activities.

Familiarity with Riyadh Municipality regulations and reporting requirements.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering consultancy teams.

High attention to detail and accuracy in structural calculations.
