Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs for steel structure installation projects.

2. Oversee site safety during the erection and installation of primary steel structures, including spatial and irregular designs.

3. Ensure safety compliance during cladding system installation and related construction activities.

4. Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analyses for lifting operations and other high-risk activities.

5. Provide training and awareness programs for site personnel on HSE policies, procedures, and emergency response.

6. Enforce adherence to local regulations, international safety standards, and project-specific requirements.

7. Perform regular site inspections, audits, and incident investigations, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.

8. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and monitor compliance with safety protocols among workers and subcontractors.

9. Collaborate with the project team to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

10. Maintain accurate HSE documentation, including permits, reports, and records of incidents or near misses.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

2. Minimum of 5 years of HSE experience in steel structure installation projects, including lifting operations and cladding systems.

3. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, or equivalent).

4. Familiarity with Saudi Arabian construction safety regulations is an advantage.

5. Strong understanding of spatial and irregular steel structure lifting and installation safety.

6. Certification in HSE-related fields (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is highly preferred.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle high-pressure situations.

8. Effective communication and leadership skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.

9. Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in high-risk construction projects involving heavy lifting equipment and complex steel structures.

- Knowledge of cladding system installation safety procedures.

- Familiarity with incident investigation methods and root cause analysis techniques.
