Job Summary

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising construction and fit-out projects from concept through completion. The role includes reviewing designs, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), coordinating with consultants and contractors, monitoring project progress, ensuring quality standards, controlling costs, and delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

1- Key Responsibilities

? Manage construction, fit-out, renovation, and maintenance projects.

? Review and coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and landscape designs.

? Prepare, review, and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

? Review shop drawings and technical submissions.

? Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.

? Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion.

? Conduct regular site inspections and supervise construction activities.

? Ensure compliance with company standards, specifications, and safety requirements.

? Track project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

? Identify project risks and recommend corrective actions.

? Verify completed work before approving contractor payments.

? Review contractor quotations and prepare technical comparisons.

? Participate in tender preparation and technical evaluation.

? Prepare project layouts and space planning for offices and facilities.

? Measure quantities for civil, architectural, finishing, furniture, glass, gypsum, paint, flooring, and other works.

? Prepare material take-offs and quantity calculations.

? Coordinate procurement activities for furniture, construction materials, and equipment.

? Follow up manufacturing, shipping, and delivery schedules.

? Coordinate mock-up rooms and prototype construction.

? Supervise landscaping and external works.

? Coordinate MEP installations and resolve site coordination issues.

? Ensure all project documentation is properly maintained.

? Support Civil Defense and municipality approval requirements.

? Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes when required.

? Monitor snag lists and ensure timely closure.

? Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.

? Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Projects Manager.

? Communicating with suppliers in China and other countries.

2- Qualifications

? Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Engineering, or a related field

? PMP certification is an advantage.

? Professional Engineer registration is preferred.

3- Experience

? 4–7 years of experience in construction, fit-out, interior design, or project management.

? Experience in commercial buildings, office fit-out, and renovation projects is preferred.
